Maha Ashtami

Maha Ashtami - worship of Goddess Durga in her fierce form. Traditional animal sacrifices and offerings are made to please the goddess.

Maha Navami

Maha Navami - Ayudha Puja day. Worship of tools, vehicles, and weapons. The sacred Taleju temple in Kathmandu opens to the public.

Vijaya Dashami

Vijaya Dashami - The most important day! Elders put tika and jamara on younger relatives. Grand family reunions and exchange of blessings and gifts.

Ekadashi
